A recent transplant from the west coast, Mike has 25 years of experience as a social justice activist and community organizer. During that time he’s worked for a number of grassroots groups including Mountain Folks for Global Justice, the Stepstone Center, Occupy Los Angeles, the Venice Justice Committee, POWER, Food Not Bombs, Venice Community Housing, the National Lawyers Guild, and Los Angeles Community Action Network. Over the last 5 years Mike served as a co-coordinator for Feed the People and Dharma Kits hen, which provided healthy food, clothing donations, housing outreach, and rights trainings to the homeless every week. He currently works at Dartmouth College and lives in White River Junction, VT.
Karen has been involved in public service since she started as a mentor through the Big Brother/Big Sister program in 2002. She is one of the owners of Scratch in Lebanon, teaches yoga, and is proud to represent Ward 3 on the Lebanon City Council. She lives in Lebanon with her family and four dogs.
